One must earn his right to windsurf this spot. In November of 2009, Nils Reuter, Matt, Simon, Dave Wells, Vincent Foullard, Aurelien and Jean Rathle headed to Limantour Beach for an awesome windsurfing session at Point Reyes National Park. The winds were side-off in the 30’s and the waves were head-high during this video, shot with a standard GoPro.

Great video! Limatour's the best - probably the thing I miss most about the Bay Area. I wish we would though about those backpacks back when I used to sail there!
A very special place indeed. But what happened to sailing upwind? Although it's been over 10 years since I've sailed there, both times that I sailed there we launched and sailed upwind to the break. And no, I wasn't on my formula gear…
FYI Barry, 3 from the group was able to sail up to the break. The wind was cranking the whole day from Limantour all the way to the break. Sail On
right on barry, and not to mention the exquisite downwind sail home. altho i live in hawaii now, limantour and tomales remain as the most pristine natural places i’ve sailed. soon as i get both my knees replaced i’ll be going back for another session. ol school.
