“I got a tip that freestyle whiz Tyson Poor was going to be out at the Delta the next morning, so I showed up at the crack of dawn to start shooting. When I got there, Tyson was already out on the water, so I suited up and jumped in. At first, Tyson didn’t know who I was shooting for, so I think he wasn’t giving me his best stuff. But after WindSurfing’s Josh Sampiero showed up, Tyson got a lot more excited and really started pushing it. For this shot, the water was just barely too deep to stand in — so to get the right angle, I sat on Josh’s shoulders while he held his breath and Tyson flew by about a foot overhead.”
