Planing in almost no wind
JP’s new Super Light Wind starts planing in a wind range thus far exclusively reserved for Formula windsurfing – no white caps necessary. By merging the Formula, Slalom and Super Sport shape concepts, JP created a board which gets planing in minimal winds, allows totally relaxed blasting and has the sensation of speed. jp-australia.com

I have tryed JP Surpelightwind Pro Edition for two month and I most say that it is one of the best things I have bought in life. It works fantastic in winds between 5 and 10 m/s. Once in planning it is very easy to stay in planning. Today I run with JP with 5.7 and my friend with an expoxi slalom bord with 6.5 in 7-11 m/s. I guess JP was about 5 knots faster. /Mr Pelegrin i Sweden
Today i had my first session with my brand new JP Super Lightwind Pro. I sailed with my Neil Pryde RS Slalom MKII 7,8. The wind was 8-12 knots. It was an amazing experience! I was flying over the water, as the only one planing, exept a guy with Formula and 12 sqm Gastra Vapor. The Super Lightwind is recomended with light wind sails with a lot of low end power. The RS Slalom is the oposite., an extreme top end power sail, that is made for top end performance in overpowered conditions. Despite this, the board jumped up planing whit 2-3 active pumps with the slitest breeze. The board gave a light, crispy slalom feeling, totally different from big freeride boards I have tryed. The feel was very similar to my Isonics. This was a big surprise for me. I was afraid that the extreme width should give the board a "lazy feeling" I was totally wrong on this! Conclusion: Fantastic light wind blaster that really works in very light winds with much smaller sails than a formulaboard require.. extremely higly recomended!
I have had my JP Superlightwind since August in Sweden and I can really agree - the board is fantastic och easy to sail in conditions between 5 och 10 m/s. I have tried it with 4.7, 5.7 , 6.5 and 8.0 in different conditions and it works easy upwind, downwind and gybing. Lately I had no problems running faster with 5.7 than a fried on a AHD 145 with 6.5. It feels really fast. I also tested it against an epoxi home-made slalomboard and it run several knots fatar and much higher upwind.
If You want to put the energy on fun sailing in winds between 5 and 10 m/s I strongly recommend it!
