The surfiest shape of all the stand up sailboards featured in this issue, the JP Australia 10’8” stand up sailboard has a narrower tail that lets it really turn on the wave face. Our testers had it out in waves both small and large, with good results in both. Lightweight construction (it weights in at just 23 pounds — not bad for its size!) helps with surf performance.

Sailors hitting the surf who are confident in their balance and board-handling skills.
Can you teach on it?
A little tippy for a first-time paddler, but doable for the first-time windsurfer — especially one who’s smaller or more athletically inclined.
