RRD X-Fire LTD 2009

The new X-Fires LTD 2009 are pure heavy duty tested board shapes that have taken into account the latest slalom race designs and moved forward. 5 shapes for any professional racing conditions, designed to improve dramatically comfort in navigation, smooth jibe and a lightning acceleration. Real slalom machines!

Roberto and his R&D Team developed a completely new 5 boards slalom range for the 2009 season, to suit the new Slalom 63 PWA Rule: X-Fire 90, 105, 112, 120, 135. This in order to allow PRO PWA riders to choose the 3 boards that will cover all racing conditions during the whole 2009 slalom Season. Heavy riders can focus their attention on X-Fire LTD 135, 112 and 90, while light riders can slide on X-Fire LTD 120, 105 and 90 to reach best performances from light wind to stormy conditions.

The X-FIRE LTD features:
- New Exclusive Ergonomic Pads, with the same big tow edge support for the back foot in the tail section of the boards, and the heel side that is little bit lower then last year. On the front pad the heel side is little lower as well, with a much more reduced front toes support, in order to maximize comfort and at the same time easy jibing.
- Concave deck. The other main feature is the concave deck on the nose of the board which allows first of all to reduce the volume on the nose section and useless weight. As well this feature allows to have a better trim with your rig while you sail with different sail sizes
- New hull configuration. The hull configuration is changed compared to last year: we have a complete V in the front section going to disappear toward the tail. Together the V configuration, the scoop-rocker line changed as well
- Different Aspect Ratio. Every board has different size. Wide and short outline on the 135 and narrow and long on the 90, because you use a complete different trim in the water. With light wind you use bigger sails and with heavy wind you use smaller sails. That’s why you need a shorter board for lighter wind and a much longer board for strong winds when actually you want to ride over heavy chop
- X-Fire are equipped with the best G10 CNC fins on the market: Maui Fin Company G10 CNC Racing fins. Lower volume boards are equipped with Maui Fin Company G10 Slalom fins, with more rake than racing fins and a tighter chord, to boost top speed and the best handiness
