Starboard 2009 Futura 155

• WHAT WE LIKED: Once powered, glided easily onto a plane with little input from the rider. Once it was on a plane, the double-concave hull kept it in control even in choppy waters and higher winds.
• BUYER BEWARE: Planed easily but not early – a surprise considering its pedigree. Most testers felt that if they were going this big, they would just go for a Formula board.
• BETTER THAN THE FLEET AT: Getting beginners going – inboard foot straps combined with its float and ability to glide onto a plane make it a great choice for first-time sailors.
• BEST SUITS: Lightweights who want float and planing power without sacrificing control; those who don't want the wide tail of a Formula board.
• OTHER HIGHLIGHTS: Super-wide fin-screw wells make removing the Tuttle-box fin a cinch.

Sail Range: 7.5-11.0

Picked up a used Futura 155. I weigh 200 #'s and just getting into harness n straps. This board has been great so far. It has outstanding stability. I have a F-158, but it is a lot harder to sail. Plan on using this board alot this summer!
