Is there a reason why newbie boards are no longer super floaty? I got a Bic Nova in 2003 as a newbie board and it has grown with me (being that it is really a Techno Formula with a few beginner additions). It is a 170L board and i found the float easy to learn on. Is it no longer the trend to put newbies on floaty wide boards? I certainly love the one i have.
