Behind The Photo: Francisco Goya's Garage

francisco-goya

I like the equipment to be dynamic, moving, so if I am not using it, I like other people to be using it. I think that’s what the equipment is for. Yeah, sometimes there are some missing parts, or I come home from a trip and my board has a few more scratches than before or something, but it’s all good — that’s the purpose of the equipment, to serve its time. I like my open garage, where people just come in and can try things out. It’s like our active showroom — these are production boards — where people can try anything, ride my boards. That way, we get a lot of really helpful feedback: “Eh, you know, the board was too this or too much that.” It creates communication that really benefits everybody — us and the people who use our boards. It really works great; my business is an extension of my lifestyle, really. — Francisco Goya

Six years ago Francisco let me borrow a board from his house upcountry. I enjoyed the use of the board and Goya Video. Say Hi to the family. Bob K

I love Francisco, a few years ago he came over to Ireland and spent a week with us just telling us everything he knows, he's very giving!

I think he only does Yoga because it's an anagram of his name ;-)
